Top Big Wall Climbing Tour on Bisotun Wall 2024
Ascending the 1200-meter Bisotun Big Wall is not just a great rock climbing challenge, it’s also enjoying fascinating nature and UNESCO-protected history. Being one of the major walls of the world and the first in Iran, the legendary mountain of Persian poetry is definitely an exciting challenge for both an amateur and a professional rock climber. The beauty of the landscape, the limestone rocks that provide a good friction at some parts, a width of 5km and existence of 3 big ledges that have together offered numerous routes of different length have won the wall the title of ‘the heaven for rock climbers’ in Iran.
The mountain’s summit is 2800m above sea level and its well-known faces are: Head of Heakles, Kalkosh, Noghre darreh, Darreh Khoshe and Loolsakht. Since we are capable of operating any of the more than 100 routes (including multi-pitch ones), feel free to choose anyone that suits your strength and style. Our recommendations are Kariz Route (5.10 B- 5.10 C), Farda Route (5.11 D) and Sab or Katibe Route (5.11 B- 5.11 A). To enrich your adventure, also get to know the splendid history, rich culture and refined art the region.
