As one of our strength for a Mount Damavand Trek, this camp is the only exclusive and internationally standard camp on Damavand’s least challenging and most popular route: the southern face route. This camp which is near Bargah-e Sevvom (around 150meter), is at a 4200-meter altitude. Up and running during Damavand’s high season, it can accommodate 30 mountaineers. Plus, every 2 mountaineers are offered one tent provided with foam and mattresses.

For ascending Damavand Mountain, the highest volcano in the Middle East and the highest summit in Iran (with 16 routes leading up to its summit), the South face route which is the most climbed among the three most common routes will be taken. The stunning beauty of Reghez Canyon is peerless among other canyons in Iran. Professional gear and primary rock-climbing skills are needed for some parts of the adventure in the 4-kilometer canyon. Reghez features more than 64 waterfalls and natural ponds.

Day 1
Meet us at Imam Khomeini Airport of Tehran (1118m) and get transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Hotel in Tehran.
Day 2
Start the day with a road trip (around 118 km) from Tehran to Rineh (2889m). From Rineh, have a 4WD trip (about 1 hour) to Damavand Base Camp, Gusfandsara (3000m). From the base camp, trek up to Bargah-e Sevom Shelter (4200m).

Day 3
To acclimatize yourself to the height, have an ascent to the altitude of 4600m. Having had an optimal acclimatization, climb down to spend the night in the shelter.

Day 4
Early in the morning, trek up to the summit (5610m). Having conquered the giant, descend to Bargah-e Sevom (4200m) for an overnight rest.

Day 5
Take a trek (about 2hours) down to Gusfandsara (3200m). From there, get a ride on a 4WD (about 1 hour) to Rineh (2889m). Then have a road trip (about 90km) back to Tehran (1118m) to get some rest for tomorrow’s sightseeing.

Day 6
Today will be a day of Iranian art, architecture, culture and history. Visit the capital’s hits: The National Museum, Golestan Palace (UNESCO), the Treasury of National Jewels (open Sat.-Tue., replaced with a visit to the Grand Bazaar on other days) and the Carpet Museum of Tehran. Then get a flight to Isfahan (1590m), the heart of traditional Persian culture and elegant Islamic architecture.

Day 7
Spend the day sightseeing around the beautiful Isfahan. Check out the impressive Naqsh-e Jahan Square (UNESCO) and the beautiful sights it includes: Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Shah Mosque, Ali Qapu Palace and the traditional Bazaar. Then move on to Chehel Sotoun Palace (with magnificent columns and spectacular ceramic frescos and paintings) and Si-o-se-pol historical bridge.

Day 8
From Isfahan, hit the road toward Shiraz (about 480km). On your way, pay a visit to Cyrus the Great’s burial place at the remains of his Pasargadae (UNESCO-listed Persian Garden). At lunchtime, enjoy unique local dishes and dress up like Iranian tribes at a traditional ecolodge. The Qashqai lady who will host you in her Qashqai ecolodge has a reputation for her local Persian dishes.
Then, check out the other magnificent UNESCO-listed remnant of the great Achaemenid Empire: Persepolis. Finally, continue your way towards Shiraz.

Day 9
Take a tour of the lovely city of love, Shiraz (1585m). See the dazzling dance of colors in Nasir al-Mulk Mosque (known as the Pink Mosque) in the morning and then check out the beautiful Qavam House, tombs of the two cherished Persian poets Hafez and Saadi, and the charming house of Shirazi aristocrats: Eram Garden (UNESCO-listed Persian Garden)..

Day 10
Make your way toward Darab (about 250km) and spend the night there.

Day 11
Begin the day by a transfer from Darab to the starting point of the trekking route. Trek up the mountain for about two hours until you reach the valley where you’ll be canyoning for the whole day. After the exciting adventure at the beautiful Raghez Canyon, have a ride back to Darab.

Day 12
Leave Darab and have a road trip back to Shiraz (about 250km) to catch a flight to Tehran. The Shiraz to Tehran flight takes about an hour and 30 minutes.

Day 13
Get transferred to Imam Khomeini Airport to depart for home with a pack of precious memories to carry home.
Optional: You can experience a day beside nomads on an optional full day tour near Shiraz.
