Top Lajvar Big Wall’s Chot Flank Rock Climbing Tour 2024
Lajvar Mountain‘s popular 350-meter wall is known as Iran’s third major big wall. With a summit altitude of almost 2800 meters, it lies near Eskan village, to the North of Shazand County, Arak Province. The rocks of Lajvar Big Wall offer the chance of an epic climb and more than 14 popular routes, including multi-pitch ones. Pick your preferred rock climbing route among a range of difficulty ratings, yet our recommendations are Kamran Route (rated 5.10 B) and Sadegh Route (rated 5.10 D). Apart from climbing up Lajvar wall, we will also climb Chot flank (rated 5.9).

Day 1
In the morning, hit the road from Tehran to Arak (280 km) in a sedan car and then make your way toward Lajvar (35-40 km). Once in Lajvar, start hiking up (about an hour) to Lajvar’s mountain hut.
Overnight: Mountain hut
Day 2
Climb up the big wall from Kamran Route (rated 5.10 B), head back to the hut and spend the night there.
Overnight: Mountain hut
Day 3
From Lajvar Wall, hike toward Chot flank (less than an hour). On arrival, gear up and climb Chot flank (5.9). Having accomplished the climb, head down to spend another night at Lajvar’s mountain hut.
Overnight: Mountain hut
Day 4
Have a ride back to Arak and then to Tehran.
