Siamak Shamsadini
Spending his childhood in a mountainous village planted a love for snow and ice in Siyamak’s heart. In the company of his father and uncle, the 8-year old Siyamak started learning mountaineering and skiing. His enthusiasm for ice climbing and skiing drew him toward his serious pursuit of them. So, he attended championships since the age of 12 and took courses with international coaches. After years of presenting himself to the world of competition, he decided to share his skill, joy and experience with others by opening up an ice climbing school in his native village and leading ski mountaineering teams in Iran’s magnificent mountains. Now among the leading coaches in ski mountaineering and ice climbing, and a reliable judge and route designer at a number of championships, Siyamak believes that it is passion that opened the doors to his progress in the field. What makes him fascinated about these sports are the challenges of survival in nature and of adapting himself to its harshness. These challenges bless him with joy, silence and tranquility that are beyond words.
