The Situation of Dizin Ski Resort
Dizin Ski Resort is to the north of Tehran mountains (Gajereh region), 123 km to Chalus Road and 71 km to Shemshak Road. The highest point on Dizin is 3600 meters from sea level and the lowest point is 2600 meters from sea level. The maximum length of its ski run is around 7.5 kilometers. Among other resorts in Iran, this resort offers the longest season for skiing. The ski season there starts from around mid-November and extends until around mid-May.

1. A Range of ski Runs
In Dizin Ski Resort, you can choose from a variety of ski runs and the good thing is that the amateur piste is separate from the professional piste. That’s because the slope of professional pistes is dangerous for beginners.
Surface Lifts and Chairlifts
In Dizin Ski Resort, there are 9 surface lifts and 2 chair lifts. The surface lifts are Doppelmayr, Sichal, Gavazni, Vila, Mobtadi (Beginner), Chaman, and Mosabegheh (race). The chair lifts are Gholleh (summit), and Chaman.
Mosabegheh (Race) Surface Lift
This 950-meter lift that starts from Shaleh Restaurant and extends upward, offers 230 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 1150 meters.
Mobtadi (Beginner) Surface Lift
This 460-meter lift that starts from Shaleh Restaurant and extends to the northeast, offers 180 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 720 meters.
Doppelmayr Surface Lifts
There are two 2-person Doppelmayr ski lifts in Dizin. One of them starts from Shaleh Restaurant and extends 760 meters to the northeast. It offers 200 meters of altitude difference and the ski run there is 850 meters. The other one extends 630 meters upward from Off-Piste Restaurant. It offers 180 meters of altitude difference and the ski run there is 720 meters.
Sichal Surface Lift
This 1100-meter lift that extends upward from the northwest of Chaman Restaurant offers 290-meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 1300 meters.
Gavazni Surface Lift
This 1200-meter lift that extends from the northwest of Chaman ski run to its northeast offers 320 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 1460 meters.
Vila Surface Lift
This 600-meter lift that extends from the northwest of the management office to the west of the ski run, offers 220 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 800 meters.
Chaman Surface Lift
This 750-meter lift that extends upward from the management office, offers 150 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 890 meters.
Gholleh Chairlift
This 1820-meter lift, that starts from the middle of the resort and extends to the summit, offers 380 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 2150 meters.
Chaman Chairlift
This 1430-meter lift, that starts from the management office and extends to the southwest of Chaman Restaurant, offers 335 meters of altitude difference. The length of its ski run is 1750 meters.
Gondola Lifts in Dizin Ski Resort
In Dizin Ski Resort, there are other fun choices than skiing. You can enjoy a pleasant gondola lift ride to the heights. There are 4 gondola lifts: Shaleh, Gholleh (summit), Darreh (valley), and Chaman (grass). Among them, Darreh gondola lift is the longest and has the most height difference.
Shaleh Gondola Lift
This 1750-meter lift, that starts from the management office and continues to Shaleh Restaurant, offers 480 meters of altitude difference. Its ski run is 2150 meters.
Gholleh (summit) Gondola Lift
This 1950-meter lift, that extents from the middle of the ski resort to the summit, offers 430 meters of altitude difference. Its ski run is 2600 meters.
Darreh (valley) Gondola Lift
This 2480-meter lift, that extends from the management office to the northeast of the resort, offers 510 meters of altitude difference. Its 2960-meter ski run is approved by International Ski Federation for holding Slalom skiing, and Giant Slalom skiing races.
Chaman (grass) Gondola Lift
This 1480-meter lift, that extends from the management office to the southwest of Chaman Restaurant, offers 385 meters of altitude difference. Its ski run is 1750 meters.
2. Ski School
During the National Races, a group of people go to Dizin Ski Resort to see the snowboarding and grass skiing races and fall in love with skiing. That’s why a school for teaching snowboarding and alpine skiing has been set up.

When to go to Dizin?
The resort is open from around late November to mid-April. To avoid the crowds of Thursdays and Fridays, you’d better plan to go to Dizin on other days of the week.
Where to Get Ski Equipment
If bringing your ski gear is difficult or you don’t have them, you can get any of your necessary ski gear from Dizin’s ski rentals or Velayat Rud village (5 km to the resort). The rentals in the resort offer a good selection of carving skis (Salomon, Fisher, Rossignol) and a smaller selection of snowboards. There are even Rossignol skis with a 70 mm width. Plus, things like beanies, boots, poles, goggles, helmets, pants, jackets, and gloves are also available. From the rental places in Dizin Ski Resort, the one across from Seven Hostel is the cheapest. If you want to find a cheaper place than the resort’s rentals, try Velayat Rud village.
How to Get Tickets to Dizin Ski Resort
You can get tickets to Dizin Ski Resort online. After buying tickets online from the resort’s website, a tracking number will be sent to your cell-phone. This tracking number will get you into the resort without wasting time on the long ticket lines.
Dizin as a Tourist Village
A nice winter weather with a minimum temperature of -20° C, a nice summer weather with a maximum of +20° C, and an easy access to entertainment and welfare amenities makes Dizin a unique tourist village for both winter and summer.
In summers, Dizin International Ski Resort is host to grass skiing races. Plus, in spring and summer, you can enjoy outdoor archery in Dizin’s archery club. The club also holds Archery competitions.
Things to Do around Dizin Ski Resort
Even if you are not into skiing or grass skiing, you can go hiking around the resort. The hiking trail is not very difficult and it leads to gorgeous villages where you can enjoy summer fruits and local dairy. All the villages including Fasham, Meygun, and Lavasan are green and beautiful. There are also many restaurants you could enjoy a good meal in.
How to Get to Dizin Ski Resort
To access Dizin Ski Resort from Karaj and through Jaddeh Chalus, after passing Hotel Gachsar, follow the road that leads toward Gajereh. 3 kilometers after Gajereh Hotel, you can find Dizin Complex.
To get to Dizin from Tehran, find your way to Lashgarak and from there to Shemshak. 12 kilometers after Shemshak, you can see Dizin.
